I wanted to ask our readers if these hip compression belts actually work? I saw them in a local motherhood maternity store, and I am tempted to try it.
Before 4 pregnancies–I maxed out my weight at 120 lbs–but I still was able to wear Size 6 pants.
After 3 pregnancies (and I doubt that this 4th pregnancy will be any different), when I finally got back to the 120’s–I was still in a Size 10 (double digits) pant size.
So, either the weight has been redistributed or my hips have expanded. So there are apparently 8 magical weeks that if you wear this little claustrophobic contraption, that you may be able to reduce your hip size (naturally!)
There are not very many “comfortable” moments during the first 8 weeks postpartum, so I absolutely do not mind adding another layer of discomfort! I’d love to hear if anyone has experience with these little contraptions. If not, maybe I’ll buy one and do an 8 week experiment (for the sake of all my fellow frustrated double digit pant wearing mothers!).
