Grant and Oreo.

Today the boys really wanted to go visit Mimi and Papa in Inverness.  I said ok and we jumped in the car.  The first thing Grant wanted to do was find Oreo (his favorite pony) and go for a little ride.  This is a fun adventure for a 4 year old.

First we had to find Oreo.  We all jumped in the mule and headed towards the pony field.  It didn’t take us too long to find him.

Then we quickly put on a halter and lead rope.

Then we had to walk back to the barn (about 1 mile away).  Grant wanted to walk him all the way back.

We had to make a few stops and wait for the toddler.

Finally we tossed the toddler in the back of the mule by all the feed.  He was pretty happy.

More walking.  All the way to the wash down.

Then Grant had to tie up Oreo, so that he could brush him down.  The ponies love this and it is a nice way for them to relax.

Time for the combing.  Grant is concentrating here.  He is thorough, quiet, and serious about it.  Cute.

Time for the 2 year old to interrupt.  2 year olds are great at that!

Grant did a quick ride and then decided to just hang out w/ Oreo over by the other barn.  Papa was taking a nap, so no pony riding lessons today.  Maybe next time.

Grant had a great time with Oreo.  Then it was time to put Oreo back in the pony field.  Grant and Mimi were in charge of walking him all the way back.
