Even though summer is coming to an end, I wanted to highlight an all natural non-toxic bug repellent that we love! There has been A LOT of rain in Florida this summer and the mosquitos are everywhere. They are really bad at dusk and dawn, so I either layer the boys or apply this awesome bug repellent. Let me tell you a little about the product.
It is called: Camping Buddy and it is made locally (a little north of my area) in Floral City, Florida. Woodapple Farms sells homemade soaps, lotions, lip balms, and other natural skin care products check out their Facebook page for more information about them. They use essential oils for fragrance.
Camping Buddy ~ a great alternative to the chemical repellants; it is loaded with oils that bugs hate: citronella, rosemary, tea tree, eucalyptus, and lemongrass
Other ingredients: Almond oil, beeswax, Vitamin E, and Neem Seed Oil
That’s it! No toxic ingredients~ which is very important to me. It is a roll on~ which I love because there is no mess. Clean and easy. It is packaged in a bar similar to a deodorant bar. They sell smaller ones, but I wanted the biggest one because I only have a few short minutes to get the boys covered. I also LOVE the smell of this repellent, funny~ I know. It is refreshing and light. Really the most important thing (after the ingredients) is that it does its job…and it really WORKS. I know some serious Florida campers that swear by it…full grown men 🙂 Give them a look and tell them I sent ya!
Happy Camping with no Bug Bites!
