Scalloped Potatoes

My sister in law makes the best scalloped potatoes.  I love this recipe and you will too.  Total comfort food.  Make sure you have a nice place to take a nap after.

Ingredients

4-6  sliced potatoes (slice them medium thin)

3/4 cup cream (fresh if possible)

1-2 tsp salt

1-2 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp pepper

2 tsp fresh thyme (or dry)

3/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  In a medium glass dish spread potato slices over the bottom of the dish.  Then pour 3/4 cup of cream over the potatoes.  Add salt, garlic powder, and pepper.  Sprinkle the shredded parmesan cheese over the cream evenly.  Then add the fresh thyme over the top and a little more salt.  Place in oven and cook for 40-50 minutes.

(You can layer the potatoes if you are making a bigger version.  I usually make a small version for my family of 4).

These is a great holiday potato dish!  There are never any leftovers.
