Winter is almost over here in Utah. We have moments of spring weather that come and go. It is very refreshing. The last 3 months have been difficult. I was very sick with this pregnancy, and while my natural remedies for morning sickness helped occasionally…. time just needed to pass. For me it felt like an eternity! But by 18 weeks I was feeling normal again (somewhat normal- not throwing up 5-10 times a day). Now here comes the good news… last week I found out we are having a girl! I guess the intense morning sickness and all day heartburn was worth it!! My boys pregnancies were SO much easier. I wonder if this is a sign of things to come.
Please tell me… does that hand look big?
Regardless of my lack of energy and high spirits, the boys managed to get a pretty good ski/ snowboard season in this year. I would tag along occasionally, but I missed the fun. I spent the season hanging out in the lodge. Next year will be a better ski season for me.
This year Garrett learned how to snowboard. Last year he hated skiing and he immediately fell in love with snowboarding. We even put him in one of Brighton’s Snowboarding classes. He loved it.
By the end of this month (March) he was riding down Majestic (the big chair lift). He says he loves going fast and he even won his little end of the season race.
John switched back and forth from skiing to snowboarding. It was fun watching Garrett teach his Daddy how to snowboard.
John hasn’t decided which one he likes better. For now he just loves the snowboarding boots. No complaints.
Grant is still my little skier. We encouraged him to try snowboarding but he said no way. He loves skiing and is very committed to the sport. He had a great season and we are considering doing the ski team next year at Brighton Resort. We have heard great things about it and the kids have a really fun time.
Even though I was sick and miserable for 8 weeks, I had these little cute faces to look at everyday. I am grateful for my crazy boys and all the love and energy they bring to our family. It is really hard work but it is worth it. I can’t believe we have another little person joining our family in a few months.
We are heading to Florida for 2 weeks for Spring Break. We are looking forward to all the sunshine. Bring on the natural Vitamin D!
