Life has slowly gotten more hectic and busy over the last 8 weeks and as a result the pounds have been creeping up too. I used to be a healthy 36 year old that weighed between 120-125 and post summer I am now pushing 140. Summer travel and making kids meals around the clock finally caught up with me. I am doing a modified raw milk fast for now. It has been almost a week and I have already lost 7 pounds (now 133). I have a lot more to lose and the last 10 pounds is always the toughest.
I am currently eating 1 meal a day (500-600 calories/ no bread/ no rice) and then using the raw milk as a substitute for the other 2 meals. I end up having anywhere from 3-6 cups of raw milk throughout the rest of the day. My goal is to keep decreasing the calories from food as I increase the calories from raw milk- never going over 1,200 a day.
1 cup of raw milk= 160 calories
I am substituting a cup of yogurt/ raw yogurt for a cup of raw milk here and there. This helps keep the digestion going. Also there are other ways to get the digestion moving with raw veggies, coffee, and some people resort to over the counter options too. I am sticking with healthy foods/ beverages at this point. A probiotic beverage could also be used occasionally to get things moving.
I do need a form of caffeine to help me keep the house running along with running to kids from place to place. There is a zero calorie drink on amazon that I love so far. Check out this drink.
One has calories and the other doesn’t. I will keep you guys posted on the progress. I am determined to shed the pounds before the holiday season gets here!
