Farm Day

Farm Day

Lately, the weather in Florida has been is a little cooler in the mornings.  Kind of a tease if you ask me.  By mid morning and early afternoon it is blazing hot again.  Regardless of the afternoon heat, twice this past week we headed up to the farm. The farm is about 20 minutes north of our house.  A perfect getaway.  It is just over 200 acres and there are a few barns and structures that are rented out to different farm like people 🙂 My parents stopped by the farm to check up on the property.  We decided to tag along.  There is no better place for 2 young boys than a farm… dirt. barn cats. cows. hay. trucks. tractors. power wheels. horses. ponies. chickens. pig. you know what I mean.  My nephew Caydon was with us because he has a brand new many sister.  It is great for him to get out and run around.  All that 4 year old energy can be a little CRAZY sometimes!

Here are a few of our farm adventures from the day:

The boys are heading back to the burn pile.

They found the burn pile and a HUGE mud hole.

Me saying: Do not jump in that mud hole!

The boys looking for the baby calves.  They were hiding behind the Momma cows.

Heading back to the hay barn.  Boys love climbing fences!

Watching the hay loaded into the hay barn.  Totally cool.

Playing w/ Papa on the rolls of hay.  Lots of fun!

We found a BIG FAT PIG roaming around the red barn.  That was pretty fun for the boys.  After going to the farm 2 days in a row… mommy and the boys were pretty tired.  It was totally worth it though!
