Top 20 Essential Oils for First Aid


Here is a list of my Top 20 Essential Oils for First Aid kits.  The summer is here and vacations are upon us.  First Aid kits are important for all types of travel.  If you are traveling with children accidents always seem to happen!  This rule applies to our family at least.  Here is a list of my Top 20 Essential Oils for First Aid Kits:

1. Animal Bites: Thyme, Eucalyptus, Chamomile, Lavender

2. Burns: Lavender

3. Bruises: Chamomile, Geranium, Lavender

4. Fevers: Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Lavender, Ledum

5. Fractures: Ginger, Thyme, Lavender, Geranium

6. Constipation: Peppermint, Thyme

7. Colds: Ginger, Thyme, Eucalyptus

8. Infections: Thyme, Lavender, Chamomile, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Oregano

9. Heatstroke: Lavender, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Chamomile

10. Insect Repellent: Lemongrass, Thyme, Lavender, Peppermint

11. Insect Bites: Lavender, Chamomile, Eucalyptus, Thyme

12. Jet Lag: Lemongrass, Grapefruit, Peppermint, Lavender, Eucalyptus, Geranium

13. Rashes: Chamomile, Eucalyptus, Lavender

14. Sleeplessness: Chamomile, Lavender

15. Sunburn: Lavender, Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Chamomile

Make sure you bring along a carrier oil.  I love using coconut, jojoba, almond, and olive oil.  Use small doses of essential oils and use them with caution (as always).
