Summer time isn’t quite over, but it is getting pretty close. These are some of the best natural sunscreens for kids. School starts in the next few weeks. Life with 3 kids is really hectic. There isn’t as much time around the house for me to make the natural sunscreen formula that I make from all my own ingredients here. There are great natural sunscreens that are available at health food stores and markets now. It seems like they are everywhere. My favorite place to order sunscreen last minute is amazon. Since I can get it within a few days (thanks to amazon shipping) that really helps when I have procrastinated or when I have just forgotten to stock up. Since we live in Florida- sunscreen is a necessity to have around the house. Natural sunscreen is more important these days because more and more studies are linking skin cancer to chemical exposure too.

In addition, keep your Vitamin D levels up because more studies are confirming how important sufficient Vitamin D levels are for optimal health…. and high Vitamin D levels may lead to less severe sunburns. Depending on your location- your Vitamin D level may vary. I had my Vitamin D levels checked a few ago and I was shocked at the low levels. We were living in Florida at the time and I was outside a lot. It was after my first pregnancy and that is when I learned about how important this vitamin is during pregnancy and after. Vitamin D also lowers inflammation, reverses depression, lowers blood pressure. prevents bone loss and helps those with MS and autism.
The following are some of my favorite natural sunscreens and Vitamin D options. If you ever feel like the more natural sunscreens are too thick to apply.. add a teaspoon of one of your favorite all natural lotions to help with application. Check them out. What are the best natural sunscreens that you have used? Please share….
