Me 2017-10-06T08:54:56-04:00

My name is Kaley and I am passionate about real food, natural healing, and non-toxic living.  I have 3 kids and a busy working husband.  We try our best to eat real and nourishing food at home.  We have gone through phases when eating clean food hasn’t happened but we keep moving in the right direction one step at a time.    Eating healthy and getting outdoors is key to our family functioning on a semi-normal basis. There are certain natural remedies that I will never leave home without. I will talk about the daily things I use to limit meltdowns, allergies, sleep regressions, sibling fighting, sensory overload, sleeplessness, hyperactivity, ADD, ADHD, anxiety, and the full range of natural remedies in my medicine cabinet for the flus and viruses that circulate these days. Keep in mind that I recognize that parenthood is a journey not a destination. I make mistakes each and everyday just like everyone else.  As the kids are getting older the outdoors is the best remedy for most meltdowns.  Kids are required to do more inside these days and less outside.  I am always trying to get them outdoors and get them moving.  Nature is an incredible healer.  Thanks for stopping by.

Do you have a recipe for treating puffy eyes?

I believe that evening primrose oil may help with that. You might look it up and see if you could add it to the formula. Taken internally~ it helps with many things too

Love the Roosevelt. I am very interested in going. Thanks for the reminder!

  8. Love your blog layout. very clean . I just bought Nourishing Traditions for my wife recently, She’s been wanting it for a while but kept forgetting to order it. It’s definitely old fashioned but thats when real cooking really happened. A lot has changed over the years.

Keep up the good work on your blog.

Where did you find the school to complete your natural medicine degree?:)

  12. greenbootgirl August 7, 2013 at 6:50 pm - Reply

If you narrow down what type of natural degree you are interested in it makes it a little easier. I am focusing on homeopathy and I have researched which programs are the best for that specific field. I have known a few really amazing practitioners that earned their diploma from British Institute of Homeopathy. It was a close call for me though. I really considered The Hahnemann Clinic also, in Canada. Rudi Vespor is one of the leading homeopathic practitioners in the industry and he started that clinic. BIH ended up being a better fit for me though…. Rudi is my family doctor though! We love him.

I’ve been trying to subscribe by email, but the subscribe button doesn’t seem to be active. Is it just from my end, or it that something you can fix? I don’t want to miss any new posts!

Kaley, I wasn’t quite sure I understood your answer to Samantha. Are you studying natural medicine through British Institute of Homeopathy? Are you able to do it all online?

    • greenbootgirl December 12, 2013 at 7:46 pm - Reply

Yes I am. It is an online 4 year course. There are required webinar/ Skype sessions for the 2nd year and there are other things that require travel to New Jersey to complete. Most of it is online though
